Deputy Commissioner of External Affairs

Oklahoma Insurance Department

Ashley Scott currently serves as the Deputy Commissioner of External Affairs at the Oklahoma Insurance Department.
During the 17 years she has served the State of Oklahoma, Ashley has earned a reputation for integrity, authenticity, and diligence. Previously, Ashley served as the legislative liaison at the Oklahoma State Department of Health and has a long history of policy work at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

​She began working at the House of Representatives in 2007 and quickly rose through the ranks, working under the Majority Floor Leader, the Speaker Pro Tempore, and as the legislative coordinator for two Speakers. Ashley has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Central Oklahoma. Ashley was born and raised in Choctaw, Oklahoma, where she now resides with her husband, Mark, and their three daughters.
